NOVAWATCHDOG
Nova Watchdog
An Elite-only supervisory console for traders running supported Nova automation who want one place to verify deployment state and bridge heartbeat, review position and risk context, and issue supported intervention commands.
NovaWatchdog is built for Elite members running supported Nova automated strategies who need operational oversight in addition to entry and exit logic. Rather than generating market signals, it organizes the systems operating around those strategies into one supervisory console. Traders can review strategy, instrument, account, state, authority, risk classification, position, P&L, bridge heartbeat, environment, and recent-action information without opening and inspecting every deployment separately.
A practical pre-session use is verifying that the intended strategies, accounts, and environments are represented correctly, confirming that supported deployments are communicating through the Watchdog bridge, and reviewing the current runtime, mode, deployment count, risk state, and heartbeat summary. This can provide a more consistent operating checklist before automation is allowed to run, although it does not replace checks inside NinjaTrader, the broker connection, or the trading account.
During a session, the deployment matrix can help the operator notice a stale heartbeat, unexpected state, position mismatch, risk-state change, or unusual recent action sooner than a workflow that relies on checking charts one at a time. The selected-deployment detail and operations log provide additional context before the operator responds. The potential benefit is earlier awareness and a shorter path from identifying a concern to reviewing the affected deployment—not guaranteed detection or automatic correction of every issue.
When intervention is appropriate, NovaWatchdog provides supported refresh and recalculation functions together with selected-deployment controls for resume, hold, flatten, and halt. These commands give the operator a consistent control point for pausing activity, closing a supported position, stopping a deployment, or resuming it after conditions have been reviewed. Availability and effect depend on deployment authority, bridge communication, NinjaTrader state, broker connectivity, and the strategy's supported integration, so command results must still be confirmed.
NovaWatchdog may be especially useful for traders supervising several supported strategies, instruments, or accounts; users who want clearer separation between trading logic and operational control; and operators who want heartbeat, risk, position, and recent-action context visible together. Centralization can reduce the time spent moving between individual charts and may make routine monitoring and intervention more consistent, but it does not make automation unattended or fail-safe.
NovaWatchdog does not choose market direction, create entries, guarantee connectivity, promise successful command delivery, or prevent trading losses. It is an operator-controlled supervision layer intended to improve visibility and response options around supported automation. Users remain responsible for monitoring NinjaTrader, broker and data connections, account positions, order status, and risk controls.
